Since its inception, C4 has been working with several governmental ministries and international agencies. Today, C4 is one of the most sought consultancies for the provision of advice and support on sustainable issues to the Government of Kazakhstan, in particular within the field of climate change.
C4 has extensive experience in conducting studies on climate change, national and international carbon trading options, energy efficiency and renewable energy. C4 regularly provides expert and consultancy support in Kazakhstan to the Ministry of Environment Protection, the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning, the Statistics Agency, the Research Institute “KazNIIEC”, the Information and Analytical Centre of the Ministry of Environment Protection and private companies on various issues related to climate change.
C4 staff have been involved in drafting national normative and legislative acts including the Law “On Renewable Energy Resources”, the Draft Law ”On Energy Saving” and Draft Amendments to the Environmental Code that will introduce GHG emission trading in Kazakhstan. The team prepared a large number of analytical reviews for governmental bodies, international organizations and companies. Moreover, C4 is an active participant of international and development projects. Among C4’s clients are international organizations such as UNDP, UNEP, UNIDO, USAID, CIDA, NEDO, as well as national and international companies.
