Mediterranean Association to Save the Sea Turtles (MEDASSET/Greece)

MEDASSET is an international environmental NGO registered in the UK and in Greece. MEDASSET plays an active role in the study and conservation of sea turtles and their marine and coastal habitats throughout the Mediterranean, through scientific research, environmental education, lobbying and raising public awareness.

Purpose of Organization:

MISSION
To win a place for sea turtles in the hearts of the public and to establish them as a flagship species for the conservation needs of marine and coastal biotopes throughout the Mediterranean region. To ensure these needs are central to national and international
policy, and to support the creation of future protective measures and the enforcement of existing ones.

VISION
A richly bio-diverse Mediterranean Sea with protected marine and coastal ecosystems in
which sea turtles thrive.
