Conservation Society of Sierra Leone

CSSL is a national non-governmental, non-profit organisation with technical expertise in the conservation and wise use of Sierra Leone’s natural resources. The society provides policy advice, undertakes environmental education, facilitates learning and advocacy about good conservation practices, implements conservation projects and facilitates biodiversity conservation research. CSSL was established in 1986. It is a membership based organisation open to the general public and includes members from many different backgrounds. CSSL has an enormously important role to play in Sierra Leone’s national development. Sierra Leone is a country dependent on its natural
resources to achieve development.
