Ethiopian Wildlife and Natural History Society

The Ethiopian Wildlife and Natural History Society (EWNHS) is an indigenous non-profit organization founded in 1966 in Addis Ababa. EWNHS is the oldest conservation institute that advocates for the wise use of natural resources, conservation of biodiversity and protection of environment through environmental education, awareness and community outreach and monitoring and research. Mission To participate and lead in the development and implementation of climate change sensitive policies, projects and activities to minimize the vulnerability of peoples due to climate change. Vision A people free from the vulnerabilities due to climate change and empowered enough to engage in their livelihoods’ improvement within the changing climate.
