ICCA Consortium (Consortium APAC)

The ICCA Consortium is an international association dedicated to promoting the appropriate recognition of, and support to, the territories and areas conserved by indigenous peoples and local communities (ICCAs for short) in the local, national and global arena. Its Members are indigenous peoples’ organisations (IPOs), community-based organisations (CBOs) and civil society organisations working with indigenous peoples (IP) and local communities (LC). Its Honorary members are individuals with relevant concerns and expertise on ICCAs. As a global institution, the Consortium is collaborating with the CBD Secretariat, GEF SGP, UNEP WCMC, IUCN, research and advocacy organisations, and UN mechanisms promoting human and IP and LC rights.
