Kanuri Development Association

Our activities are on indigenous issues, cultural as well as environmental issues as it affects the Kanuri indigenous communities of Africa, who are presently residing in Nigeria, Niger and parts of Chad as well as Cameroon republics.

Purpose of Organization:

Kanuri Development Association (KDA) is an indigenous peoples organization committed to aiding, especially through education, the plight of the Kanuri indigenous peoples of Africa. It is active in finding solutions to climate change, cultural, corruption, oppression, desertification and as well as environmental degradation issues.

Experience:

We are involved in series of environmental activities but not as it relates to the works of the GEF, but as it relates to the works of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity,Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) and Global Network on Salinization Prevention and Productive Use of Salt Affected Habitats among many others.
